Searching experts for PALOP and Angola projects in the fields of agribusiness and fisheries

In order to implement on going and future projects in the PALOP countries (in particular Angola), Linpico is looking for portuguese speaking experts in the following areas :

  1. Team Leader, legal specialist in cooperatives
  2. At least 15 years of experience in drafting legal and regulatory framework for the Angolan corporations and building the management capacity of complex organizations, of which 5 in the cooperative sector.
  3. University Graduate Degree (Masters level or equivalent) or commensurate experience in one or more relevant fields (business law and agrarian law).
  4. Significant body of experience in the developing world, including sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries.
  5. Work experience in Angola would be an advantage.
  6. Demonstrated relevant experience in integrating reports from different specialists, providing quality control, and effectively managing cross-sector professional teams in similar projects.
  7. Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Portuguese, and strong personal skills.
  • Legal expert specialized in the cooperative sector
  • At least 7 years of experience in drafting legal and regulatory framework for the Angolan corporations, of which 3 in the cooperative sector.
  • University Graduate Degree (Masters level or equivalent) or commensurate experience in one or more relevant fields (Agrarian, Fisheries, Livestock, Housing, and Trade law).
  • University Graduate Degree (Masters) in one of the following fields: Marketing, International Trade, Business Administration. Must demonstrate experience working with gender and development issues.
  • Work experience in Angola will be required.
  • Excellent communication skills in Portuguese and English.
  • Agribusiness Specialist
  • At least Ten (5) years of cumulative progressive experience in activities related to agricultural value chain development and product certification, in emerging economies, preferentially, in Sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries, assisting governments in designing and implementing agribusiness policies, regulation, public-policies related to agricultural product certification, exports and investment, regional integration, quality control, etc..
  • University Graduate Degree (Masters level or equivalent) or commensurate experience in one or more relevant fields (agronomy, agricultural economics, economics, marketing,).
  • Significant body of experience in the developing world, including sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries.
  • Work experience in Angola would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated significant experience, at least 5 years, in private sector development, feasibility studies of small and medium-sized projects, project management. Preference will be given for experience in small and medium-sized enterprise development, import substitution, and cluster development.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Portuguese, and strong personal skills.
  • Fishery Engineer
  • Bachelor’s Degree in fishery engineering, and other related fields; At least 5 years of experience in understanding, applying and implementing concepts and lean tools to the companies´ production system for improvement.
  • Potential to design, analyze and implement industrial engineering techniques;
  • Skills of maintaining mechanical, electrical, welding, pneumatics and refrigeration. The proposed candidate shall have demonstrated relevant experience in integrating reports from different specialists, providing quality control, and effectively managing cross-sector professional teams in similar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Portuguese, and strong personal skills.
  • Livestock Engineer
  • At least Ten (5) years of cumulative progressive experience in activities related to livestock and meat value chain development and product certification, in emerging economies, preferentially, in Sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries, assisting governments in designing and implementing livestock and meat business policies, regulation, public-policies related to livestock and meat product certification, investment, regional integration, quality control, etc..
  • Graduate Degree (Masters level or equivalent) or commensurate experience in one or more relevant fields (livestock and meat production, livestock economics, economics, marketing,).
  • Significant body of experience in the developing world, including sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries. Work experience in Angola would be an advantage.
  • Significant experience, at least 5 years, in private sector development, international trade, regional integration, project management.
  • Experience in small and medium- sized enterprise development, export promotion, and cluster development.
  • Relevant experience in integrating reports from different specialists, providing quality control, and effectively managing cross-sector professional teams in similar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Portuguese, and strong personal skills.
  • Logistic Specialist
  • At least Ten (5) years of cumulative progressive experience in activities related to logistics services in the development of cooperatives, in emerging economies, preferentially, in Sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries, assisting governments in transportation, warehousing, conveyor, etc..
  • University Graduate Degree (Masters level or equivalent) or commensurate experience in one or more relevant fields (conveyor, transportation, warehousing, materials management, reliability, facility coordination, labor analysis, inventory control, etc…).
  • Significant body of experience in the developing world, including sub-Saharan Africa and Lusophone countries. Work experience in Angola would be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years, in private sector development, international trade, cooperative development, project management.
  • Experience in cooperative development, market linkages, and cluster development.
  • Relevant experience in integrating reports from different training specialists, providing quality control, and effectively managing cross-sector professional teams in similar projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Portuguese, and strong personal skills.
  • Training Specialist
  • At least Ten (5) years of cumulative progressive experience in training of trainers,
  • Cooperative training, survey work through engagements with MNCs, MSMEs, business associations, banks, business service providers, and business training provider.
  • University Degree or commensurate experience in one or more relevant fields (business training, ToT, business management, economics).
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal English and Portuguese, and strong personal skills.

All experts should be fluent in Portuguese and have some experience in Portuguese speaking countries and PALOP in particular, EU Long Term and Short Term Projects implementation.
